Woodstock New York is a small town located in the Catskills, only a two hour drive from The Big Apple! Yup, just two hours away! The town is nestled in the mountains and is surrounded by lush trees, beautiful creeks, swimming holes, boutiques, tie dye, ice cream shops, hiking trails, cafes and shiny happy people. I'm not even kidding, when we checked into our hotel, we were each individually welcomed with big warm hugs and chocolate bars.
I stayed at Hotel Dylan, an adorable boutique hotel that was highly recommended on the New York Times. The Dylan hotel is casual, chic, young, and has everything you need in order to have the perfect weekend escape which includes a pool, fire pits, hammocks, and a bar that serves delicious food and cocktails all day long.
Most people are familiar with Woodstock because of the oh so famous music festival that took place in the late 60's that attracted over 400,000 people. However, the music festival didn't actually take place in Woodstock, it took place about an hour away from there in a town called Bethel! Which we visited as well just so we can see the lawn all our favorite peace and love rock stars performed at.
If you're in NYC, and you need an affordable little vay cay, Woodstock really is perfect. Whether you chose to come with your friends, your kids, or your family, we guarantee you will have one hell of a groovy time ✌🏼️❤️
